I am going to replace the thermostat in my 3000 when I flush it out. The I & T shop manual says use a 188 degree thermostat with 7psi radiator cap. The book also says I can go with a 160,168, or 178 degree thermostat but 188 is recommended. YT sells a 168 and 172 thermostat with a 13psi radiator cap.
