On the LR4, you can either (1-piece) tape the bonnet to the frame for a more or less permanent fix, or use LR's troubleshooting and report system to eventually be sent a "better" bonnet gratis from LR/Whisker. No matter what I try this error keeps happening, and when I look into it the bonnet is attached.It does seem to help. The bonnet errors happen when there isn’t a good connection between the metal parts. We also do a deep clean of the entire unit about once a month, and take an Emory board or stiff bristle brush to the contacts, and clean them until they’re shiny.
